Our founder, Kimberly Theodore, decided to grow out her relaxed hair for a more natural look. She bleached and colored the ends of her hair for the first time in 2015 and needed regular hair care treatments. However, most of the products on the market contained toxins and chemicals that further damaged her locks, making them dry and brittle and causing them to break off in various places, making her once beloved thick and voluminous hair thin and brittle.

In 2016, she used the knowledge from her family business to get into product research and development of natural, organic, plant-based ingredients and materials that can be blended together to create highly effective and efficient hair and skin care products. She used her existing knowledge and understanding of this field to test the longevity of each ingredient and figure out how to extend the life of these types of hair care products.

In January 2017, she began making her own whipped shea butter and herbal hair oil blends. In April 2017, the products were introduced and put to the test at her mother's beauty and hair salon. One customer suffered from  a fungal  infection of  the scalp (ringworm), the other from alopecia. Within three weeks of using the products on the fungal infection, the customer's scalp was clear and her hair began to grow. The second customer's hair thickness improved and her hair no longer felt wiry and brittle. After many more satisfied clients, the demand grew and expanded to other salons and barbershops. in 2018, the company was officially established and KIki Ever Naturals was born.
